Asian Studies
In addition to the common requirements for a regional concentration, students who wish to concentrate in Asian Studies are required to spend at least one semester at a Washington College abroad program in China, Japan, or Thailand, or its equivalent in consultation with the Director of International Studies. The Asian Studies language requirement may be fulfilled at Washington College with Chinese or Japanese or an equivalent Asian language abroad. In addition, students are required to take two courses from List A below and three courses on Asia at an approved Washington College abroad program. Examples of such courses appear on List B below.
